CLOCKworks
The Community Legal Companion Service - providing free, practical assistance to litigants in person through the family court process.
How CLOCKworks Assists You
Our trained Community Legal Companions (CLCs) are university law students who assist within the McKenzie Friend principles. They can help in four key ways:
Signposting
We signpost you to solicitors for legal aid assessments, mediation services, domestic abuse charities, housing organisations, and other support services that can help with your situation.
Filling in Court Forms
Our CLCs help you complete court application forms including C100, C1A, C2, C79 and help with fee applications. They ensure your voice is heard through proper documentation.
Arranging Case Papers
We help organise and arrange your case papers and documents so they are presented clearly and professionally for court proceedings.
Accompanying in Court
Our CLCs can accompany you to court proceedings, provide emotional support, and take notes during hearings. The role has been endorsed by the President of the Family Court.
